            COVID-19 Update

            We are committed to helping you through the admission and registration process!  While we are temporarily suspending visits to campus, we are here for you! If you have any questions about your next steps to MMU, please email us at admission@ or call 319-368-6460.

            COVID-19 Questions for Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students

            Yes! We are still planning to host new student orientation in June and July. Check out the

            Our April 24 transfer orientation may go “virtual.” We will be in touch soon regarding the format.

            We are flexible. While we’d still like you to send us your final transcripts prior to attending orientation in June or July to help with advising, we understand that in some circumstances, transcripts will not be available. If you run into issues, please let us know.

            We can accept unofficial transcript for admission but will need your final official transcript prior to enrolling in the fall. If you are attending orientation and are not able to send us an official copy by then, please bring an unofficial transcript for advising purposes.

            We always encourage students to sooner than later. We hope to send out housing assignments in May/June.

            We are flexible but encourage you to send your signed financial aid award and supplemental documents to the MMU’s financial aid office prior to your summer orientation date. If you have questions about your financial aid, please contact your admission counselor or email us at admission@.

            Freshmen Students: Next Steps

            • . $200 saves your spot in the incoming class. The deposit is nonrefundable and applied to your student account.

            • . There is no separate housing deposit. If you plan to live off campus with a parent (within 30 miles of MMU), please submit your .

            International Students: Next Steps

            • Get your F-1 student visa. Once you're accepted, Mount Mercy will mail you an official admission letter and your I-20 form. With those two documents, your financial statement, and your passport, you can obtain your F-1 student visa from your nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Our office will guide you through this process, and also provide helpful information on travel, packing, and preparing for your study in the United States.
